Handsfree probes from 1.5 to 6 GHz
PCBite has always been about letting go of the probe. With the SQG series we take that idea into gigahertz territory: a new family of high-frequency probes that stay on the test point by themselves, so RF and high-speed measurements become repeatable instead of a steady-hand exercise.
The series comes in three bandwidths, 1.5, 3 and 6 GHz, each in an AC-coupled and a DC-coupled version. All six are 10:1 passive, low impedance probes for instruments with a 50 Ω input.
Six probes
- SQG15-AC and SQG15-DC, 1.5 GHz, with a BNC connector
- SQG30-AC and SQG30-DC, 3 GHz, with an SMA connector
- SQG60-AC and SQG60-DC, 6 GHz, with an SMA connector, for data lanes up to 12 Gbps
AC or DC? The AC versions block up to 50 V DC, so the probe neither sources nor sinks current at the test point and the bias of the circuit stays where it is: the choice for small signals riding on a DC level. The DC versions measure from 0 Hz, so the true DC level is shown together with the edges.
Accessories made for the series
- Dual ground spring needles, 3.5 and 5.0 mm, for a short, symmetrical ground return at the full bandwidth
- Ground springs, 3.5 mm, for ground points further from the signal
- Spring-loaded probe tip needles, replaced in the probe on the spot
