PCBite kits for oscilloscopes combine two handsfree SQ200, SQ350 or SQ500 oscilloscope probes with four magnetic PCB holders and a large insulated base plate, for measurements at 200 MHz, 350 MHz or 500 MHz. Each probe is a passive 10:1 probe with a probe ID pin in the BNC connector, so compatible oscilloscopes select the correct 10:1 scaling automatically. Place the spring-loaded test needle on the signal, set the spring-loaded ground needle next to it and release. The probe stays in place through long triggering sessions, with no soldered wires and no fixtures. Ground springs for handsfree and handheld use, both at the full rated bandwidth, are included together with a test hook, an alligator clip and ground leads. The insulated probes can also be used handheld, and color coded cable holders make each channel easy to trace. The 210 × 297 mm (8.27 × 11.69 in, A4) base plate has room for large PCBs, and each holder includes insulation washers for powered PCBs. The same setup holds the board for soldering and inspection, while the probes cover power rail ripple, switching and PWM, clock edges and analog signals during PCB bring-up and debugging.
