SQG60 accessories

SQG60 accessories fit the 5 mm (0.20 in) probe head of the 6 GHz PCBite SQG60, in both the AC-coupled and DC-coupled versions. The SQG60 is grounded with the dual ground spring needle, and no single ground spring is offered for this model. Its pins sit 3 mm (0.12 in) from the signal tip on each side, 6 mm (0.24 in) apart, which gives a short and symmetrical ground return on both sides of the signal. Because the pins are spring-loaded, the ground contact stays firm while the probe stands in its holder through a long capture. The 5 mm MMCX adapter mounts the probe on an MMCX connector placed on the board, so the same node can be measured again and again with signal and ground in one coaxial interface. The adapter adds signal path length, which limits the bandwidth to about 3.6 GHz, and signals above that are still measured at reduced amplitude. Replacement probe tip needles are the same for every SQG model, so one spare pack covers a mixed set of SQG15, SQG30 and SQG60 probes. Color-coded cable holders keep several probes and their cables apart on the bench, and the wear and tear kit brings new glide pads for the underside of the probe holder.
