Introduction

Standard 50 mm (1.97 in) holders on a compact A5 base plate. Made for smaller PCBs and everyday bench work such as soldering, inspection and rework.

Each holder uses the same magnetic base, knurled grip and pressure spring as the rest of the PCBite family, at the standard working height of 50 mm (1.97 in). The height gives clearance for tall components and through-hole leads on the underside of the board, and access to the PCB from any angle. The holders come with insulation washers for powered boards, and each base glides on a low friction pad when you reposition it.

The S base plate measures 148 × 210 mm (5.83 × 8.27 in, A5) and comes with a pre-fitted polycarbonate insulation cover, so powered PCBs can rest safely on the working surface. The mirror-polished reverse side reflects the underside of the PCB, so LEDs, displays and other components below the board can be checked while it is powered.

The kit replaces PCBITE-4002 and now includes an insulation cover for the base plate.

Place each magnetic holder exactly where the PCB allows it, and the board is held firmly in place. No fixed rails, slots or clamping positions. Rectangular, round, irregular, populated or cut-out boards are all secured in seconds.

Move the setup

Inspect. Move. Rework. Without remounting.

Keep the PCB securely mounted while moving the entire setup under a microscope. Inspect your soldering, identify a fault, replace a component and inspect again without removing or repositioning the board.

 

SOLDERING

Built for soldering.

Place a component, solder it, adjust and move on to the next one. The board stays where you put it, at a comfortable working height, from the first component to the last.

HEAT RESISTANT

Handles the heat of the lab.

The holders are made of anodized aluminum. The polycarbonate insulation cover and the optional insulation washers are rated from −40 to +120 °C (−40 to +248 °F). Mounted on the base plate, the cover handles even higher temperatures, because the steel plate works as a heat sink and draws the heat away. Solder and use a heat gun with confidence. For heavy soldering, skip the washers and flip the base plate to its steel side.

NOT JUST PCBS

Cable soldering made easy.

PCBite holders grip wires just as well as boards, at exactly the same height as the PCB. Hold two wires end to end and solder them together, or keep a cable in place while you solder it to the PCB. The holders keep everything steady from start to finish.

Microscope work

Move the board, not the focus.

The PCB is held level at the same working height, so it stays sharp under the microscope. Slide the whole base plate sideways, forward or back to bring the next area into view, without touching the board or refocusing. Inspect, solder and rework in one continuous session.

COMPONENT CLEARANCE

Clearance where you need it.

The PCB is elevated above the work surface, leaving plenty of clearance underneath for large components, connectors and through-hole parts. Even boards with tall components on the underside can be held securely in the PCBite system.

BASE PLATE

Two sides. One base plate.

The base plate has two working sides. The insulated side has a pre-fitted polycarbonate cover that keeps powered boards safe. Flip the plate over for the mirror-polished steel side, which reflects the underside of the PCB so you can check LEDs and displays without turning the board. Every PCBite holder, probe and accessory locks magnetically to both sides.

DESIGNED FOR POWER

Power up your PCB safely.

Insulation washers keep the PCB isolated from the holders, and a pre-fitted polycarbonate cover gives the steel base plate a non-conductive work surface. Power up a board, probe it and leave it running without the risk of a short against the metal.
