Introduction

Fine-pitch pads, small components and probe placement, three times closer. The PCBite Magnifier mounts on the base plate next to the PCB and leaves both hands free for soldering, inspection and probing.

The PCBite Magnifier enlarges the work area and makes it easier to see during soldering, inspection and measurements. It is especially useful when placing PCBite handsfree probes on fine-pitch SMD components.

The edgeless lens gives 3× magnification across the work surface, and an anti-reflection coating reduces reflections from nearby light sources. The 90 mm (3.54 in) lens and its focal point are optimized for the PCBite holders and base plates included in every PCBite kit.

A strong N52 neodymium magnet in the foot holds the magnifier to the base plate, and a low friction bottom cap protects both the magnet and the plate. When the soldering is done or the probe is in place, fold the lens down and slide the magnifier aside without lifting it.

Friction based tilt and rotation hold the lens in any position without set screws. The magnifier can also be used handheld, and its CNC-machined aluminum construction matches the look and feel of the rest of the PCBite family.

EDGELESS LENS

Full view across the work surface.

The edgeless lens has no surrounding frame, so nothing blocks the magnified image. You see the whole working area, all the way to the edge of the lens.

ADJUSTMENT
