Introduction

The largest PCBite base plate, for projects that outgrow the PCBite L kit. Room for large PCBs, multi-board setups and handsfree probing with more channels, on an insulated surface ready for powered work.

The XL base plate measures 297 × 420 mm (11.69 × 16.54 in, A3) and is the largest in the PCBite line. It gives room for the largest PCBs, several connected boards and handsfree probing setups that need more channels than the PCBite L kit can fit.

Because the plate is significantly larger than the other PCBite base plates, it is made thicker and heavier. The solid stainless steel stays rigid across the whole surface, with no flex when you press down on components, reposition holders or move the complete setup.

A pre-fitted polycarbonate insulation cover protects the entire working surface, so PCBs can rest safely on the plate when powered.

PCBite holders, handsfree probes, the magnifier and other accessories attach magnetically anywhere on the plate. Holders and probes are sold separately.

The pre-fitted polycarbonate cover gives the steel base plate a non-conductive work surface. Power up a board, probe it and leave it running without the risk of a short against the metal.

The matte surface reduces reflections from microscope lighting, so components and fine details stand out with clear contrast.

HEAT RESISTANT

Handles the heat of the lab.

The polycarbonate cover is rated from −40 to +120 °C (−40 to +248 °F). Mounted on the base plate, it handles even higher temperatures, because the steel plate works as a heat sink and draws the heat away. Solder and use a heat gun with confidence.
