Introduction

These two handsfree SQ10 probes, one red and one black, expand your existing PCBite setup for powering, measuring and loading the circuit. Use them to supply the PCB from a bench power supply, monitor voltage or current with a multimeter, or connect a passive or active load. Color coding provides clear polarity identification from the probe to the instrument, and the insulated body makes work on powered PCBs safer.

Place the spring-loaded needle on any test point in the signal path and release. The flexible arm holds the needle in position, while the N52 neodymium magnet in the base keeps the probe locked to the base plate. No soldered wires and no fixtures. Detach a probe for handheld use. The insulated body makes work on powered PCBs safer.

A low center of gravity keeps the probe stable and helps maintain consistent contact throughout the measurement.

The probes support DC to 10 MHz measurements and can also be used with I2C, I3C, UART, CAN bus and other digital signals when suitable connection leads are used.

A PCBite base plate and holders are required for handsfree use.

DMM READY

Color coded from probe to instrument.

Red for positive, black for negative. The included banana to Dupont test leads plug into the probe at one end and into a multimeter or bench power supply at the other, so the polarity is clear all the way from the test point to the instrument. No adapters and no alligator clips.

INSULATED

SQ10 probes, insulated design.

The SQ10 is a 10 MHz handsfree probe for I2C, I3C, UART, CAN bus and similar signals, with an insulated body that makes powered work safer. Detach it from the arm for handheld use, then mount it back to work handsfree.

NEEDLES

Every needle, spring-loaded.

The test needle is spring-loaded, providing a defined, consistent contact force on the pad. This keeps the connection stable throughout the measurement, even if the setup is bumped or exposed to vibration. When the tip wears, pull it out and insert a new one. Two spare needles are included.

STABILITY

A low center of gravity.

Place the red and black probes on the board and read continuity, voltage or current without holding anything. Needle resistance below 0.02 Ω keeps the readings accurate. Red and black test leads with 4 mm banana plugs provide direct connection to a DMM.

ANTI-SHAKE

Steady placement. Reliable contact.

The flexible arm and probe weight keep the spring-loaded needle partially compressed during measurement, maintaining contact even if the setup is disturbed. The arm also adds controlled resistance when positioning the needle on fine-pitch components, making precise placement easier even with a slightly unsteady hand.

MULTI-POINT MEASUREMENT

Multiple probes. Long measurements. No hands required.

Position several probes across the board and leave them in place for both quick measurements and long triggering sessions. The probes maintain contact throughout the measurement, enabling simultaneous multi-point measurements that are impractical with handheld probes.
