SQG15 and SQG30 accessories fit the 3.5 mm (0.14 in) probe head shared by the 1.5 GHz and 3 GHz PCBite SQG probes, in both the AC-coupled and DC-coupled versions. The choice of ground sets the bandwidth you get. The dual ground spring needle puts a ground pin 2.3 mm (0.09 in) on each side of the signal tip, 4.6 mm (0.18 in) apart, and keeps the full rated bandwidth of both probes. It lines up with the pads of PCB-mounted RF connectors and with closely spaced signal and ground test points. The single ground spring reaches a ground point about 6.5 mm (0.26 in) from the signal tip. On the SQG15 it still gives the full 1.5 GHz, while on the SQG30 the bandwidth drops to 2 GHz, so the dual ground is the better choice above that. The MMCX adapter turns a board-mounted MMCX connector into a fixed, coaxial test point for power rails, analog circuits and other noise-sensitive nodes. It keeps the full bandwidth on the SQG15 and reduces it slightly on the SQG30 because of the longer signal path. Spare probe tip needles come five to a pack, so a bent or worn tip never has to end a measurement session. Tip protection caps cover the needle in the storage case, color-coded cable holders link each probe to its instrument channel, and the wear and tear kit replaces the glide pads under the probe holder.
