Introduction

Connect a PCBite SQ oscilloscope probe to wires, component leads and test pins where handsfree probing is not possible. A CAT II 300 V RMS sprung hook with ground lead and finger protections.

A sprung hook adapter for the PCBite SQ100, SQ200, SQ350 and SQ500 oscilloscope probes. It mounts on the probe tip and grips wires, component leads and test pins with a spring-loaded hook.

Use the sprung hook where a handsfree probe cannot be placed, such as on wires, leads or pins without a flat pad for the needle. Open the hook, place it around the wire or pin and release, and the spring keeps the contact secure through the whole measurement.

The set includes the sprung hook, two finger protections and a ground lead with an alligator clip at one end and a 5 mm (0.20 in) clip at the other. All parts are rated CAT II 300 V RMS and designed according to IEC 61010-031:2022.

SPRING-LOADED HOOK

A secure grip on wires and pins.

Press the sleeve to extend the metal hook, place it around the wire, pin or component lead, and release. The spring retracts the hook and holds it securely on the test point, leaving both hands free to operate the oscilloscope.

GROUND OPTION

Alligator to 5 mm clip ground lead

Provides a secure ground connection for higher-voltage measurements. Rated CAT II 300 V RMS and suitable for measurements up to approximately 15 MHz.
