Place the spring-loaded needle on any test point and release. The flexible arm holds the needle in position, while the N52 neodymium magnet in the base keeps the probe locked to the base plate. No soldered wires and no fixtures. Lift a probe out for handheld use, and the insulated body makes work on powered PCBs safer.
Red and black test leads with 4 mm banana plugs on one end and 2.54 mm (0.100 in) jumper connectors, often called Dupont connectors, on the other connect the probes to multimeters, bench power supplies and electronic loads. Cable holders in red and black mark the polarity along the whole cable.
A low center of gravity keeps each probe stable and helps maintain consistent contact through long measurements. The SQ10 is designed for DC to 10 MHz, so the same probes also work with logic analyzers and debug adapters when suitable leads are used.
Every PCBite holder uses the same magnetic base, knurled grip and pressure spring, with a standard working height of 50 mm (1.97 in). Each holder includes insulation washers for holding powered PCBs. The 210 × 297 mm (8.27 × 11.69 in, A4) base plate comes with a pre-fitted polycarbonate insulation cover.
