Introduction

These four handsfree SQ10 probes expand your existing PCBite setup. Position each probe on the signals you need and monitor them with your logic analyzer, multimeter or debug adapter while keeping both hands free. The insulated body and low center of gravity add safety and stability.

Place the spring-loaded needle on any test point in the signal path and release. The flexible arm holds the needle in position, while the N52 neodymium magnet in the base keeps the probe locked to the base plate. No soldered wires and no fixtures.

A low center of gravity keeps the probe stable and helps maintain consistent contact throughout the measurement.

Color coded test wires with 2.54 mm (0.100 in) jumper connectors are included together with cable holders in four of the eight available colors. They connect directly to logic analyzers, multimeters, mixed signal oscilloscopes and debug adapters. Red and black test leads with 4 mm banana plugs connect directly to multimeters, bench power supplies and other instruments with standard 4 mm inputs.

Designed for DC to 10 MHz measurements and well suited for I2C, I3C, UART, CAN bus and other digital signals.

A PCBite base plate and holders are required.

INSULATED

SQ10 probes, insulated design.

The SQ10 is a 10 MHz handsfree probe for I2C, I3C, UART, CAN bus and similar signals, with an insulated body that makes powered work safer. Detach it from the arm for handheld use, then mount it back to work handsfree.

NEEDLES

Every needle, spring-loaded.

The test needle is spring-loaded, providing a defined, consistent contact force on the pad. This keeps the connection stable throughout the measurement, even if the setup is bumped or exposed to vibration. When the tip wears, pull it out and insert a new one.

STABILITY

A low center of gravity.

A low center of gravity keeps the probe stable and helps maintain consistent contact throughout the measurement.

COMPATIBILITY

Connects to the instruments on your bench.

Standard 2.54 mm (0.100 in) jumper connectors, often called Dupont connectors, plug straight into any logic analyzer. Put one probe per line and one on ground, and decode I2C, I3C, SPI or UART while the board runs. The same connectors reach a programmer or debug adapter for SWD and JTAG.

CABLE HOLDERS

Know every channel at a glance.

Every SQ10 and PCBite oscilloscope probe includes cable holders in four standard channel colors used by leading test equipment manufacturers. They keep cables organized and make each channel easy to trace from instrument to measurement point. Eight colors are available for larger or more complex setups.

ANTI-SHAKE

Steady placement. Reliable contact.

The flexible arm and probe weight keep the spring-loaded needle partially compressed during measurement, maintaining contact even if the setup is disturbed. The arm also adds controlled resistance when positioning the needle on fine-pitch components, making precise placement easier even with a slightly unsteady hand.

MULTI-POINT MEASUREMENT

Multiple probes. Long measurements. No hands required.

Position several probes across the board and leave them in place for both quick measurements and long triggering sessions. The probes maintain contact throughout the measurement, enabling simultaneous multi-point measurements that are impractical with handheld probes.

EMBEDDED

Leave probes on I2C, SPI, UART or the TX and RX lines of a CAN transceiver, and watch the traffic on your logic analyzer while the code runs. One probe per line, one on ground, nothing to hold and nothing to solder.
